Matching Careers With Personalities ... Or Not

Why is it that I'm always an easy target for the countless career and personality tests floating around the universe? Truthfully I'm not convinced that they are reliable, but they always seem to be more accurate than not with my results. Case in point, MY RESULTS ...

Personality type: "Determined Realist"
Practical, traditional and organized. Likely to be athletic. Not interested in theory or abstraction unless they see the practical application. Have clear visions of the way things should be. Loyal and hard-working. Like to be in charge. Exceptionally capable in organizing and running activities. 'Good citizens' who value security and peaceful living.

Careers that could fit you include:
Military, business administrators, managers, police/detective work, judges, financial officers, teachers, sales representatives, government workers, insurance agents, underwriters, nursing administrators, trade and technical teachers.

If you are interested in taking a career/personality test, click here; it's quick and easy. Don't forget to let us know how accurate - or not - the test results are for you.

BTW .... Merry Christmas and Happy early New Year;-).

I sometimes think that these tests are a bit like astrology -- they give you a lot of adjectives that at least a couple of them would fit. But I love these tests anyways. :-D

Your personality type: "Dreamy Idealist"

Quiet, reflective and idealistic. Interested in serving humanity. Well-developed value system, which they strive to live in accordance with. Extremely loyal. Adaptable and laid-back unless a strongly-held value is threatened. Usually talented writers. Mentally quick and able to see possibilities. Interested in understanding and helping people.

Careers that could fit you include:

Writers, artists, counselors, social workers, English teachers, fine arts teachers, child care workers, clergy, missionaries, psychologists, psychiatrists, scientists, political activists, editors, education consultants, journalists, religious educators, social scientists.

In a way I could see this as true. Although it is a side I have yet to utilize. I do like to teach and have thought of teaching English as a Foreign language in some country or can see myself helping to build a school. So, there may just be some truth to it. ;-)

Hope you have a wonderful New Year (and had a great Christmas).

I'm a "Reliable Realist" (see below.) This test was pretty good, but a bit off. I wouldn't call myself "hard working and organized," at least not now. LOL.

But it did suggest "lawyer" as a possible career path. Maybe my law school education wasn't wasted after all. :-D

Happy New Year, MMC!

Usually interested in supporting and promoting traditions and establishments. Well-organized and hard working, they work steadily towards identified goals. Careers that could fit you include:

Business executives, administrators and managers, accountants, police, detectives, judges, lawyers, medical doctors, dentists, computer programmers, systems analysts, computer specialists, auditors, electricians, math teachers, mechanical engineers, steelworkers, technicians.

Well, this sounds like me, but after a few thousand years of me doing this administrator stuff, something's gotta give! Rrrr!

I will calm down now. Afterall, I make my own path. We all do. I can make a change at any time. :)
